The main theme of this project is an attempt to define the identity of the accursed social groups of our city. The performance tells the story of Lodz and those who were born here. It's the story of the city cut in half. "Derby.White-and-Red" is a tale of two football fan tribes living in Lodz, about their spiritual struggles and social frustrations, their ethos and personal pride, the specific patriotism and cursed heroes. But not only about that. In our performance the journalist sensation turns into a romantic drama, and sport report into metaphorical parable. We can see the signs of this endless war on the walls in each town in our country. We assume that these club signs painted on the walls are made by some aggressive, demonic hooligans. But these signs, using patriotic polish uprising symbols or the Star of David contain forces, fears and hopes of the community, reaching much further and deeper in space and in time then just here and now. Therefore this performance is a symbolic attempt of overpassing the divisions, and a real attempt of looking over the other side of a wall. We will try to understand the people who we are afraid to know, and who create the identity and spirit of Lodz.
